My Duties with USS Uhlmann
Mar 1967 – Aug 1971

When I returned to Tacoma in Mar 1967, the USS Uhlmann had become the reserve ship.

I joined the SelRes (Selected Reserve Crew) and attended drills every third weekend.

In civilian life I worked in the automotive parts industry.

Was advanced to STG3 (E-4).

In Aug 1971 USS Uhlmann was replaced by the USS Brinkley Bass (DD-887).
