Nimrod Davison
was the father of Dewitt Clinton Davison.
Was he part of the great clan of Davissons in West Virginia (which was then Virginia) Mazey was the daughter of George Larrick, Jr. and Rebecca Brinker. They were of Frederick County, VA. George Larrick, Sr. was married to Elizabeth ? George, Sr. was the son of John J. Larrick who was born around 1719 and died around 1782.There are stories that John J. Larrick was one of four brothers who emigrated to America together, but that has never been proven. Nimrod probably had a brother Samuel who lived in the Cincinnati area for a time and then moved to Indiana and lived near some Indian mounds. Another Daviisson researcher indicates that prior to Nimrod, there might have been a marriage to an Indian woman. That might possibly be Nimrod's mother. Nimrod's brother was Joseph Davisson In 1937 Clinton Joseph Davisson, a son fron Joseph's second marrage won the Nobel prizei in physics (crystal defraction of electrons) |
